About Us

Residents Against Coombes Farm residents in your community who are opposed to the proposed development at Coombes Farm and the continued loss of green space in and around Rochford.

Our aim is to inform the community, share accurate information, and encourage residents to take part in the planning process when decisions affecting our area are being considered.

Coombes Farm active farm grade 1 farmland which has long been valued as an open green space nestle behind the Stambridge Road between Rocheway and Mill Lane. It provides countryside views, walking routes, and access to the King Charles III England Coast Path, leading to Crouch and Roach estuaries, contributing to the rural character that many residents appreciate about this area.

Like many communities, Rochford is facing increasing pressure for new development. While we understand that housing is needed, many residents feel that proposals affecting Green Belt land and open countryside deserve careful scrutiny and meaningful community involvement.

Our group has been created to:

Raise awareness about the current planning application at Coombes Farm and our objections

Provide links to official planning documents and consultations

Encourage residents to share their views with Rochford District Council

Keep the community informed about developments affecting the area

We are a community-led initiative made up of local residents from our community, and we welcome anyone who wants to stay informed or take part in discussions about the future of Coombes Farm and the wider Rochford area.
